Welcome to my Website!

My name is Paul O'Neil. I am an aspiring writer taking classes at North Carolina State University. I created this website to showcase my personal profile.

Paul Passing Through

I have another website, Paul Passing Through, where I write weekly articles focusing on travel and outdoors content. I'd love for you to visit and leave any feedback!

Education History

I have an extensive and varied education history over the years that has led me to this point.

West Virginia University

I attended WVU from 2005 through 2008. My major was biology, and in winter of 2008 I received my B.S. in biology.

University of Pittsburgh

Starting in 2011, I began pursuing post-graduate work in physical therapy at the University of Pittsburgh. This was a three-year program, with graduation in April 2014. I graduated with a Doctoral of Physical Therapy.

NC State University

Currently, I'm attending NC State part-time while continuing to work full-time. I don't have a major at NC State; rather, I'm pursuing a professional writing certification. After this semester, I will need to take one more course to fulfill the certification requirements.

Rhetoric and Design

As part of the certification process, I am taking a course titled Designing Networked Communication where I am learning about digital rhetoric and design. My interest in taking this course was to learn how to improve my ability to communicate in online media while also becoming more proficient in designing multimedia content.

I hope to utilize these skills to increase the viewership and improve the user's experience of my website, Paul Passing Through.

Career Aspirations

As of right now, I'm already working as a physical therapist, but I am not satisfied with where this career has led me which is why I have been taking writing classes over the past year.

I have four primary aspirations with my writing:

Other Hobbies and Interests

Outside of work, school and my website, I have several hobbies I enjoy (unfortunately, due to how much time those three things take, I'm finding it difficult to keep up with my hobbies right now!).
